CENTRAL BRANCH LOCALS’ NOMINATIONS

Please see attached the Central Branch Returning Officer’s declaration of nominees for the triennial Local Officials and Committee elections.

  • Where an election is to be held it will be held electronically in accordance with the NZPFU Rules.  Dates and process for those elections will be notified by separate notice.
  • Where the nominee has been elected unopposed they will assume that position on 1 August 2022.

In accordance with the NZPFU Rules current Local Officials and Committees remain in place until 1 August 2022.  Those elected unopposed, or elected through a contested election assume their positions on 1 August 2022.

There were no valid nominees for any of the Palmerston North positions.  The Palmerston North Local Secretary has notified the union there are nominees for the Local positions but the required forms were not submitted prior to the deadline, and requested that nominations be called again.  Therefore new dates for nominations for Palmerston North Local will be issued shortly.
